The Holland Festival is one of the most important international festivals next to Salzburg, Bayreuth and the Ruhrtriennale. It has a very long and much appreciated tradition but does not only rely on that, but tries to be innovative and shows newest developments. Its diversity of innovative productions of standard repertoire and new creations of all sorts is quite unique. It is a pleasure to come to Amsterdam and an honour to perform for the Holland Festival and its interested and critical public. We hope to be able to exchange productions in the future.

Grote commotie toen ik ruim tien jaar geleden voorstelde het HF op te heffen, voor dat moment gewoon een goed voorstel. Inmiddels ben ik een van de trouwste bezoekers, en cultuurminnaar. Voor mij is het niet meer uit juni weg te denken. Alleen jammer dat het altijd samenvalt met Oerol…
Elk jaar bezoek ik wel een aantal evenementen in het Festival. Er zijn altijd voorstellingen bij, waar ik nieuwsgierig naar ben. Niet alleen op het gebied van de muziek maar ook en vooral op het gebied van theater of een mengvorm van muziek en theater. Bovendien houd ik van dat opgewonden sfeertje, het culturele leven is even anders dan anders.
Natürlich ist das Holland Festival eines der besten und bedeutendsten Festivals der Welt! Schaut man sich einmal die Liste der Dirigenten, Regisseure, Sänger, Schauspieler, Choreographen an, die in den letzten Jahren dort gearbeitet haben, dann wird man alle bedeutenden Namen aus Musik, Oper, Tanz, Schauspiel finden! Wir wünschen unseren Kollegen beim Holland Festival, mit Pierre Audi an der Spitze, weiterhin einen großen Erfolg!
