For the Dutch Day of the Composer, a music train will be travelling throughout the country all day. For this occasion, the Holland Festival commissioned Meric Artac, whose composition will premiere at the departure from Amsterdam Central Station in the morning.
The brass section of the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra will kick things off early in the morning on the IJ-side of Amsterdam Central Station. The Amsterdam City Composer of the Day, Meriç Artaç, wrote a new composition especially for the opening on commission from the Holland Festival.
