Born in Rio de Janeiro, Lucas Paraizo graduated in journalism from PUC-Rio and in screenwriting from EICTV (Escuela Internacional de Cine y Televisión, Cuba). 

Holding a postgraduate degree from the Catalan Film School and a master's degree in Performing Arts from the University of Barcelona, he made his screenwriting debut with the short drama Passeig nocturn(2007), and later his feature debut with the documentary Laura (2011). 

Since then, he has built a solid career as a screenwriter, having written award-winning features such as Divinas Divas (2016), Gabriel e a Montanha (2017), Aos Teus Olhos (2017) and Os Outros (2023).
