Nathalie Joachim (1980, USA) is a Haitian-American composer, flautist and vocalist whose work blends classical training with Caribbean and global musical traditions. She explores identity, memory, and diasporic narratives through inventive sonic structures. With her landmark project, Fanm d’Ayiti, an evening-length work for flute, voice, string quartet and electronics, she celebrates and explores her personal Haitian heritage, earning her a Grammy nomination. 


She studied at the prestigious Juilliard School before pursuing graduate studies in audio production and sound design. Her music spans a broad range of genres, including indie-rock, pop, and classical. Aside from music creation and performance, she is also involved in various musical education programs in multiple elite American institutions, such as Princeton University and the University of Hartford.
