Ossama Helmy - OzOz

Profile

Ossama Helmy (Oz Oz) is an Egyptian multidisciplinary artist, performer, collector and storyteller. Trained in anthropology, he works across education, theatre, animation, music, and visual art, integrating origami and dance through the Arab Origami Centre, which he founded.

He also created the Audioz Archive, a wide and diverse collection of music, archival materials, and home recordings, all accessible to artists and researchers via analogue playback devices. Using these collections, OzOz creates a unique and interactive artistic experience that ranges from performing arts and lecture performances to exhibitions, listening events, and podcasts.
