Sho Madjozi (Maya Wegerif) is a rapper and poet from Limpopo, South Africa. She has also appeared on television as an actress. She studied Creative Writing and Africa Studies in the United States. There she also began publishing her poems under the name MayaThePoet. Back in South Africa, she started a music career. Her energetic, rhythmic music embraces the Tsonga culture from her homeland, with elements of Gqom and Afropop. In 2018, her album Limpopo Champions League was released.
