skinship: Boundary Boss: Consent and boundary workshop

Connect with your body and embrace intimacy. Experience how it feels to have consent and how it feels to be at the boundary of consent. Skinship will give two workshops on physicality and intimacy in times of ubiquitous technology. Together, participants will explore their relationship with their own body and that of others. The workshops: Boundary Boss: Consent and boundary workshop and Queer Cuddle Workshop: Getting High on Your Own Hormones are both suitable for all kinds of bodies and genders.

Knowing what we want and don’t want and being able to communicate this, is the key to safety, play and pleasure. This doesn't come naturally, it's a set of skills that we have to learn and practice throughout life. Let's explore together and practice while failing and laughing.

This workshop includes partner practices and we engage the body to experience what it feels to be in consent and how it feels on the edge of consent. We take time to reflect and learn how to communicate our desires and what might stand in the way for clear communication.

skinship – a touch based place for kinship - is a collective run queer/trans/non-binary/genderfluids/agenders/genderexpansive centering space restructuring and re-prioritizing the body as a vehicle for connection and safety cultivating touch, pleasure, sexuality, playfulness, consent, boundaries and friendship as a form of activism. We move intimacy and touch beyond the bedroom and romantic relationships. Through a variety of touch tutorials, games and workshops we practice ways in which we can connect to our own and each other's skin by returning to a place where we remember our kinship.
