Teresa Borasino

Profile

Teresa Borasino’s work walks a fine and fruitful line between art and activism, explores the space between poetry and politics and is characterised by a radical involvement with social organisations. Her work since 2014 has focussed on the struggle for climate justice. Together with other activists and artists, she developed new tools and forms of creative intervention for confronting the climate crisis and the system that caused it. She creates experiences that allow the audience to reflect and imagine alternative forms of ‘being’ in this world. She was the co-founder of Fossil Free Culture NL in 2016: a collective of artists and activists that confronts oil and gas sponsors of public cultural institutions in the Netherlands.
