Théâtre national de Strasbourg

Profile

Founded in 1968, the Théâtre National de Strasbourg (TNS) is one of France’s leading public theatres and the only national theatre located outside Paris. Based in Strasbourg, it brings together production, performance, and education under one roof, housing the renowned drama school, École supérieure d'art dramatique, which has shaped generations of actors and directors.

TNS is known for its ambitious repertoire, spanning classical texts and contemporary creation, and for fostering international collaborations that reflect Europe’s diverse theatrical landscape.
