Respublika
Łukasz Twarkowski

'Theatre has always been to me an external space. An embassy of an invisible state where I seek a utopia – a vision of the world alternative to the one I know and can perceive with the bare eye. Respublika responds to this need in a total way. Over the course of 6 intense hours the ensemble takes us on an exciting journey. Word, image and music merge with collective rave practice and philosophical reflection. How can we live differently: against the mainstream, more truthful? Respublika brings anarchy back in the bloodstream. In full energy and on a big scale. It is a tribute to the radical imagination and transformative power of art. See you on the dance floor!’

LEMNISKATA
Lukas Avendaño

‘Can you imagine being more than yourself? Taking a role in the society that is of your choice, and not the one given to you by default by tradition and culture? Lukas Avendaño belongs to the community of Muxe – called “a third gender”, men who consciously chose to take up female roles in their community. They stand up for antipatriarchal vision of coexistence. Lemnistata is a collective poetic ceremony that celebrates the diversity. It turns theatre into a temple embracing visceral energy, the strength in fragility and the eroticism of human interconnections. Lemniskata welcomes multiple identities we carry. It touches me as a powerful ritual of connection between the audience, the performers and our ancestors.’

ANGELA (a strange loop)
Susanne Kennedy, Markus Selg

'What if I were not me? What makes me sure that what I see at the mirror is myself? And what makes others recognize me? The world created by Susanne Kennedy strikes exactly at this mindbending question. Angela is a character whose life, as the lives of us all, is a series of little events and procedures. What if we stop this movie for a moment and see it from a distance – as a loop of images? I look forward to get immersed in this performance – where live acting blends with pre-recorded voices and the hallucinatory set design, and where we can’t be sure anymore what ‘a reality’ is like.'
