To mark the 80th edition of Holland Festival, Ho Tzu Nyen has been appointedartist. The Singaporean visual artist, filmmaker and theatre maker is internationally renowned for his interdisciplinary work, in which he brings together Eastern and Western cultural references. Throughout his oeuvre, he explores the complex cultural identities of Southeast Asia and the influence of history, power and colonialism on collective memory.
In recent years, AI has also come to play an increasingly important role in his practice, both as an artistic tool and as a subject of research. As associate artist, Ho Tzu Nyen will present both existing and new work and contribute to the development of the Holland Festival 2027 programme.
