Het Concertgebouw

Accessibility

  • Special seats are reserved for wheelchair-bound visitors in both the Grote Zaal and the Kleine Zaal until 24 hours before the concert. These seats can only be booked via the Concertgebouw line 020 - 6718345 (daily from 10am-5pm). If you prefer to contact us by e-mail, please send an e-mail to [email protected] and describe which concert (date, time and hall) you would like to attend and the size of your wheelchair. Please note that wheelchairs or rollators cannot be left in the aisle. The attendants present can of course assist you if required.

  • In the Grote and Kleine Zaal of The Concertgebouw, visitors with a hearing impairment can use hearing assistance systems. You can use a radio receiver with headphones or a loop. The loop links the sound directly to your own hearing aid. You can also connect your own hearing-aid equipment to this receiver, using a mini-headphone plug, if necessary. These facilities are available at the cloakrooms of the Great and Small Halls. Test transmitters are also placed here. This way, before you take your seat in the auditorium, you can set up your equipment optimally.

  • Adapted toilets are available on the ground floor.

  • Six disabled parking spaces are located next to the main entrance. Holders of a valid National Parking Permit (LPO) or European Disabled Parking Card (GPK) can park here free of charge. A taxi rank is located next to the main entrance of The Concertgebouw.

  • An officially trained assistance dog (such as a guide dog) may be brought to the concert. Pets, including dogs, are not allowed in The Concertgebouw.

  • The attendants present can of course assist you if required.
